Dave founded Gaston Advertising in 1992 with two employees specializing in retail print and direct marketing. The company quickly expanded its client base, creative staff, and agency services. Dave has made a career of blending his creative and account talents, allowing him to feel right at home heading new business pitches, account planning seminars, and creative round tables.
Dave began his career as a copywriter with the Cleveland Edition. Following a move to Chicago in 1984, he was promoted through the ranks and managed the creative departments for several educational companies under Encyclopedia Britannica's
corporate umbrella.
In 1988, he was named Senior Account and Creative Coordinator with Pierson & Flynn, managing national campaigns for Ace, Hartmarx, Sears, and Ulta.
